हे मन! संसार के दारुण भय को हरने वाले कृपालु श्रीरामचन्द्र का भजन कर।
O my mind, worship the compassionate Shri Ramachandra, who takes away the dread and terror of worldly existence.
नवकंज लोचन कंज मुखकर कंज पद कंजारुणम्॥
navkanj lochan kanj mukh, kar kanj pad kanjarunam
जिनके नेत्र नवीन कमल के समान हैं, मुख और हाथ भी कमल-से हैं, और चरण लाल कमल की आभा लिए हैं।
whose eyes are fresh lotuses, whose face and hands are lotuses too, and whose feet carry the red lotus's own hue.
2 कंदर्प अगणित अमित छबि नव नील नीरज सुन्दरम्।
kandarp aganit amit chhabi, nav nil niraj sundaram
उनकी छवि असंख्य कामदेवों से भी अधिक अपार है; वे नवीन नील कमल के समान सुन्दर हैं।
His beauty outshines that of countless Kāmadevas, boundless; he is lovely as a fresh blue lotus.
पटपीत मानहुँ तड़ित रुचि शुचि नौमि जनक सुतावरम्॥
patpit manahu tadit ruchi, shuchi naumi janak sutavaram
उनका पीत वस्त्र मानो बिजली की-सी चमक लिए हो; मैं उन पवित्र जनकसुता (सीता) के वर को नमन करता हूँ।
His yellow robe shines as though it held the glow of lightning; I bow to the pure one, the chosen lord of Janaka's daughter.
3 भजु दीनबन्धु दिनेश दानव दैत्यवंश निकन्दनम्।
bhaju dinbandhu dinesh danav, daityavansh nikandanam
हे मन, दीनों के बन्धु, सूर्य-समान तेजस्वी, और दानवों तथा दैत्यवंश का नाश करने वाले का भजन कर।
Worship him, friend of the humble, radiant as the sun, destroyer of the demons and of the whole Daitya line.
रघुनन्द आनँदकंद कोशल चंद दशरथ नन्दनम्॥
raghunand anandkand koshal, chand dashrath nandanam
वे रघुकुल को आनन्दित करने वाले, आनन्द के मूल, कोशल-देश के चन्द्रमा और दशरथ के पुत्र हैं।
He who gladdens the house of Raghu, the very root of bliss, the moon of Kosala, the son of Dasharatha.
4 सिर मुकुट कुंडल तिलक चारु उदारु अङ्ग विभूषणम्।
sir mukut kundal tilak charu, udaru ang vibhushanam
उनके सिर पर मुकुट, कानों में कुण्डल, माथे पर सुन्दर तिलक और अंग-अंग पर उदार आभूषण सुशोभित हैं।
A crown upon his head, earrings, a fair tilak, and noble ornaments adorning every limb.
आजानुभुज शर चापधर सङ्ग्राम जित खरदूषणम्॥
ajanubhuj shar chapdhar, sangram jit khardushanam
उनकी भुजाएँ घुटनों तक लम्बी हैं, वे बाण और धनुष धारण करते हैं, और संग्राम में उन्होंने खर तथा दूषण को जीता।
His arms reach to his knees; he bears arrow and bow, and in battle he conquered Khara and Dūshana.
5 इति वदति तुलसीदास शंकर शेष मुनि मन रंजनम्।
iti vadati tulsidas shankar, shesh muni man ranjanam
तुलसीदास कहते हैं — वे शंकर, शेष और मुनियों के मन को प्रसन्न करने वाले हैं।
Thus says Tulsidas: he is the delight of Shankara, of Shesha, and of the minds of the sages.
मम हृदयकंज निवास कुरु कामादि खलदल गंजनम्॥
mam hridaykanj nivas kuru, kamadi khaldal ganjanam
हे काम आदि दुष्टों के दल का नाश करने वाले, आप मेरे हृदय-कमल में निवास कीजिए।
Dwell in the lotus of my heart, O crusher of the host of evils that begin with lust.
